Love the regeneration of the town centre
They should have more clothes shops, jewellaries, the town should at least 1 big supermarket like tesco, asda .
Some of the reviews here are utter nonsense and folk just trying to appear smart by being overly negative and cynical (unfortunately a common trait amongst the local population). The town centre does indeed have takeaways, and hairdressers, and bookies, and pubs. It also has a library/community hub, a butchers, a couple of bakers (one local and one national chain), a greengrocers, a florists, a formal dress hire shop, a gift shop, cafes (including a cupcake specialist one), chemists, post office, one charity shop, a supermarket, an opticians. The town centre features a community 'town square' with ample seating and artwork. There is ample free parking. The newly redesigned town centre is more accessible and has easier access into the library compared to the old town centre which had hundreds of stairs and a long trek from the car park. The undeveloped sections of land in the town centre are currently being marketed so it looks like even more will be on the way in the future.
Not many shops only hairdressers and takeaways
Centre going through some much needed development and starting to look good.
