Great place for the dogs to run around
A nice walk here an local shops for Treats.;)
Not a large park but has history being the site of a castle and also of the cloth printing industry. An information board is available at the viewpoint with a new set of steps to get you there. There is a playing field and occasionally visits from fun fairs.
Not a lot here, a couple of football pitches and a viewpoint at the top of the hill with an information board on the history of Herbertshire Castle and the park. A mystery why there is nothing similar at the car park. There are walks along the River Carton, but they run a little bit distant from the water. If you go far enough West, after passing under the M80, there is an obvious route down to a rocky beach at a bend in the river. There were several Grey Wagtails catching insects here when we visited.
Huge open field we could let the dog run wild in and past the turnoff at the church we found a great playpark with swings, climbing structure etc and even a flying fox that entertained all three of our kids. Highly recommended.
